Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will the app be released?
Q: What is an AI Camera?
AI Camera is our name for taking a picture of a live poker hand (in real life!) and importing the hand into Poker Geek - Odds Pro in a matter of seconds. Every game that we support is also supported by our AI Camera: Double Board Bomb Pots, Congress/Big O, PLO, Holdem, and the 6 and 7 card varieties!
Q: When will cloud support be here?
Cloud support is in Poker Geek - Odds Pro! We provide an AI Camera and Cloud Backup and Sync between all your devices.
Q: Why does the app ask to manage phone calls on Android?
The AI Camera requires a connection to our cloud servers. We display the internet connection status in the AI Camera as a convenience to the user.
Q: The AI camera doesn't work for me... it's slow and I just see a loading spinner.
The AI Camera requires a connection to our cloud servers. If you have a slow data plan, then select "Slow Cellular" or "Slow WiFi" in the app settings, and the AI camera will use less bandwidth. It will run faster, but sometimes the quality of the results will suffer.
Q: I want to run Poker Geek on my laptop instead, can I do that?
Not yet, but if you'd like to be able to run on a computer, send us an email at contact@pokergeeksotware.com.
Q: How do I edit a hand? I want specific cards, I don't want to randomize!
Just tap on the card backs for the hand that you want to change.
Q: How do I see what happens if a player folds? Entering the hand again after removing them takes too long!
Just remove the player from the hand to see how the equities change if they had folded, then tap "undo" (the back arrow) to quickly add them back into the hand.
Q: I accidentally hit one of the quick action buttons and now I have to start all over!
Just tap "undo" (the back arrow) at the bottom of the screen. If you want to redo, then tap the forward arrow.
Q: Why don't you support range analysis?
Our math library does support range analysis. We just haven't had time to build the user interface. If range analysis is your make-or-break feature, let us know about it at contact@pokergeeksotware.com.
Q: I have a suggestion for how to make Poker Geek better. Who do I contact?
We're always open to new ideas, features, and even brand new apps. Send us a feature request at contact@pokergeeksoftware.com to let us know what you'd like us to work on next.
